| Abstract | Thermal energy storage in hot water tanks plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of residential heating systems, solar thermal applications, and renewable energy integration by reducing standby losses and preserving temperature gradients. While cylindrical tanks remain prevalent due to manufacturing simplicity, conical or truncated conical geometries emerge as promising alternatives for improved thermal performance. |
