| Abstract | Education is the stepping stone of a child’s overall development and builds for national progress. India has made significant support in accessibility and safety of the students but still remains dominant. Legislative provisions like Right to Education Act, 2009, Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012, and The Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act, 2015, provide essential protection, yet their success centres on the competence of educators. This study examines how prospective teachers at the secondary level understand these legal provisions and intervene in child protection. |
