Industry-Specific Cloud Delivery Models for High-Complexity Transition & Transformation Projects

| Abstract | Many large-scale cloud transition and transformation (T&T) projects in high-complexity environments are experiencing impediments in the implementation of large-scale cloud transition and transformation projects due to the general service delivery model. As companies move from legacy monolithic architectures and heterogeneous workloads to distributed environments, they experience a multi-dimensional complexity tax consisting of regulatory mandates with strict requirements, intricate interdependency mapping, and geopolitical data sovereignty requirements. This research evaluates the industry-specific cloud delivery models as a key framework for reducing architectural friction and operational risk for digital evolution initiatives. The study examines the use of fault-tolerant mechanisms and sector-specific security protocols when integrating cloud-native architectures into the cloud migration process. The study examines the use of tailored delivery frameworks to optimize the lifecycle of cloud migration and evaluate the trade-offs associated with standard shared responsibility models versus industry-compliant sovereign clouds. The findings indicate that industry-specific models significantly improve both delivery velocity and compliance posture through the embedding of domain-specific governance and automated policy-as-code directly within the cloud landing zones. The research indicates that transitioning to a vertically integrated, industry-aligned delivery architecture is critical to ensuring long-term systemic reliability and value realization for high-complexity T&T projects. |
