LMS and Blended / Flipped Learning Models: The Future of Higher Education

Abstract This research article explores the significance of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Blended/Flipped Learning Models in higher education. Following the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, digital transformation in the Indian education system has accelerated rapidly. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are increasingly adopting innovative approaches such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE), online learning, student-centered pedagogy, and technology-integrated teaching methods.
The article discusses the educational benefits of LMS and Flipped Classroom models, teacher-student interaction, academic performance, challenges, and future opportunities. The study identifies that LMS promotes self-directed learning among students, while Flipped Learning enhances classroom interaction and active participation.
