| Abstract | Hand gesture-controlled appliances offer a touch-free, intuitive way to operate devices using predefined hand movements. They enhance hygiene and accessibility, especially for the elderly and in sterile environments like hospitals. Powered by sensors and AI, these systems are becoming more accurate and responsive with advancing technology. Despite challenges like environmental interference, their future is bright in smart homes, healthcare, and automation. |
| Keywords | A technology that enables users to control electrical devices (e.g., lights, fans, TVs) through natural hand movements, using sensors like cameras, infrared, or motion detectors. It provides touchless, intuitive interaction with appliances, enhancing convenience, accessibility, and hygiene, often used in smart homes and assistive technologies. |
