| Abstract | Sri Aurobindo (1872–1950), a freedom fighter, philosopher and poet, made remarkable contributions to the field of education, which is even influencing today’s education policy. Though he is recognised for his spiritual thoughts and nationalist activities, his thoughts for education is deeply rooted in his spiritual philosophy and aimed at the all-round development of the human being.
