Abstract | This paper studies the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in strategic decision-making with respect to the Indian business environment. It studies the increasing popularity and familiarity of AI in decision making using technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing and predictive analysis, which help in improving managerial effectiveness. This paper has adopted a narrative review approach and explores the adoption of AI across the various sectors like banking, retail, manufacturing etc of India. The paper highlights the benefits of AI in managerial processes like forecasting, analysing and predicting market trends. Furthermore, the paper also identifies gaps in research relating to the effective coordination of human and AI, ethical integration, sectoral disparities and goes on to point out the unerexplored role of AI in promoting environmental sustainability. The paper concludes with recommendation for future research in the topic while also mentioning the need for development of policy for including AI in strategic decision-making in an ethical manner. |
