Fermented Rice Water Derived Probiotics: A Novel Approach To Scalp Health

Abstract The rising demand for natural and sustainable personal care has highlighted probiotics for scalp health. This study explores fermented rice water as a bioactive-rich source of beneficial microbes, particularly lactic acid bacteria. These microbes produce compounds that help balance scalp microbiota, reduce dandruff, and support hair follicle health. Microbial profiling, probiotic assessment, and preliminary testing indicate that fermented rice water-derived probiotics present a safe, eco-friendly alternative to chemical scalp treatments.
