| Abstract | This research examines the 100MW wind power project in Pargi, Vikarabad(erstwhile Ranga Reddy district), Telangana—the state's first and largest wind energy installation. Commissioned by Mythri Energy in 2016 at a cost of ₹600 crore, the Pargi wind farm represents a pioneering renewable energy initiative in Telangana's moderate wind regime. This paper analyzes the technical, economic, environmental, and social consequences of wind power production in Pargi, providing insights for future renewable energy development in semi-arid regions of India. The study reveals significant positive outcomes including clean energy generation, rural economic development, and carbon emission reductions, alongside manageable environmental and social impacts. |
