| Abstract | This study evaluates pesticide contamination and removal efficiency across twelve conventional water treatment plants (WTPs) in West Bengal, India, serving populations drawing from the Ganga River and its tributaries (Hooghly, Bhagirathi, Fulhar) as well as non-Gangetic rivers (Barakar, Pagla). Between November 2023 and September 2025, seventeen pesticide compounds were monitored in raw and treated water using GC-MS/MS analysis with a total 1241 tests were performed. Results demonstrate exceptional removal efficiencies. |
