Abstract	: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a major public health challenge in Nigeria, contributing significantly to chronic liver disease and mortality. The interaction between HBV genotypes, host immune response, and haematological alterations determine the clinical outcome of infection and progression to liver dysfunction.
