| Abstract | This paper presents a practical framework for real time pricing in SAP Order to Cash environments by integrating SAP SD with an external pricing engine such as Model N Revenue Cloud. Large enterprises in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and high tech manufacturing often struggle with static condition records, complex tiered discounts, region specific regulations, and precision requirements that standard ERP pricing cannot handle reliably at order entry. The study first analyzes key problem areas, including price precision and volume based discounts, interface reliability between SAP and the external engine, coexistence of multiple pricing models, data integrity across the order to cash lifecycle, historical price cloning for returns and adjustments, and country level localization for markets such as Spain, Italy, and India. It then describes a real time interface that uses SAP user exits and middleware to trigger pricing calls, process responses, and maintain complete audit trails, combined with soft error handling, fallback pricing, and automated re pricing during outages. The resulting Sales Order Pricing Enquiry (SOPE) model improves pricing accuracy, reduces order blocks and billing disputes, and strengthens compliance and audit readiness, while allowing central control with regional flexibility. |
