| Abstract | This project investigates the thermal performance of a 250-litre conical bottom stainless steel hot water storage tank insulated with 65mm polyurethane foam rigid insulation. The primary objective is to evaluate and compare heat loss characteristics of conical, rectangular, vertical cylindrical and horizontal cylindrical tank geometries through transient thermal simulation in SolidWorks over a six-hour period under Indian ambient operating conditions. |
