Marriage disputes leading to homicide: A Legal and Social Analysis

Abstract This research paper investigates the disturbing trend of marital disputes escalating to homicide—exploring causes, legal frameworks, and societal impact. Recent years have witnessed a significant rise in cases where unresolved marital discord culminates not in separation but in the killing of a spouse. This study synthesizes interdisciplinary literature, NCRB data, media reports, and expert commentary to provide a comprehensive overview. Recommendations are offered for policy and legal reforms towards minimizing such tragedies
