Abstract | Leadership has traditionally been explained through personality traits and behavioral approaches, but modern organizations operate within complex social, demographic, and cultural environments that significantly shape leadership effectiveness. In emerging economies like India, these contextual factors play a crucial role in determining how leaders influence, motivate, and manage diverse teams. Demographic characteristics such as age, gender, education, and work experience intersect with social factors like ethics, social responsibility, and community engagement, as well as cultural dimensions such as values, cross-cultural behavior, and religious traditions. Understanding how these variables interact within specific industries—such as Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals, and Cement—can help organizations develop leadership models that are contextually relevant and inclusive |
